Day 1Arrival in Harare
On arrival at the international airport in Harare, you will be met by an English-speaking tour guide (German-speaking at an extra charge/on request) and taken to your lodge.
In the afternoon we discuss the trip and rest a little.

Day 2Harare
After breakfast, you will go on a city tour and visit the Kopje the highest viewing point of the city.
This tour reveals an immaculately clean city full of bustling stores, wide open streets and warm hospitality.

Day 3Harare to Nyanga (Nyanga Mountains)
After an early breakfast, we leave Harare and drive through varied farmland to the beautiful mountainous region of the Eastern Highlands to the Trout Back Inn Nyanga.

Day 4Nyanga/ Vumba
From Nyanga we set off in the morning in the direction of Vumba Mutare and visit the Mutarazi Waterfalls. Mutarazi Falls is the highest waterfall in Zimbabwe, the second highest in Africa (after Tugela Falls in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, which is 948 meters high) and the seventeenth highest in the world. The walk through the shady forest before meandering through the fragrant heather to reach the viewpoint with its spectacular view over the Honde Valley is a pleasant and unforgettable experience.
After the “Mutarazi exploration” we drive through varied landscapes of farmland and rocky outcrops into the magnificent mountainous region of the Eastern Highlands, also known as “The Little England” of Zimbabwe. From your hotel you can enjoy beautiful, tranquil views and serene surroundings. (Optional activities are available – horse riding, golf, fishing, at your own expense)

Day 5Vumba to Great Zimbabwe
This morning after breakfast we drive to Masvingo, the ancient city, where we are inspired by the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which were built in 1200 AD. The ruined city of Great Zimbabwe is the largest and most important ancient monument south of the Sahara, second only to the Egyptian pyramids. In the afternoon, your guide will take you through the acropolis, the large enclosure and the conical tower and you will be able to enjoy the sunset.

Day 6Great Zimbabwe to Bulawayo
After breakfast we drive to Bulawayo, the second largest city in Zimbabwe with wide, tree-lined streets surrounded by beautiful parks. Within the city there are many examples of early Victorian buildings that are preserved as heritage sites by the Bulawayo City Council and landlords. We learn more about this beautiful country by visiting the Bulawayo National Museum, the Railway Museum before or after checking into our hotel.

Day 7Matobo Bulawayo
Our 2nd day in Bulawayo: A full day is spent exploring the area. Highlights include cave paintings and panoramas of the landscape at “View of the World”. We hope to catch a glimpse of black rhino and plains game, but this area is famous for its dense concentrations of birds of prey.

Day 8Matopos Bulawayo to Hwange National Park
The journey continues to Hwange National Park, a 2-hour 30-minute drive south of Victoria Falls to enter Hwange National Park. Hwange National Park is another extraordinary attraction with an area of over 14,000 square kilometers of bush. The park is full of different animal species and is the best national park in Zimbabwe. You will pass the villages and the famous Hwange coal mine.

Day 9Hwange National Park
Our 2nd day in Hwange Park: Early morning game drive in Hwange National Park. It is the best time to see the big cats such as lions & leopards. Tea and coffee are served before or during the game drive. After the safari you will have your full breakfast between 9:30 and 10:00 am. In the late afternoon you will go on another game drive.

Day 10Hwange Safari Lodge to Victoria Falls
In the early morning, shortly after breakfast, you will depart for Victoria Falls, the adventure capital of Zimbabwe/Africa. At lunchtime, you have the opportunity to take part in the “Devil’s Pool Adventure” on the Zambian side (optional activity). You end your day with a spectacular unset cruise on the Zambezi.

Day 11Victoria Falls
The next morning after breakfast, enjoy a tour of the Victoria Falls. You stop at various viewpoints to view the waterfalls and walk through the rainforest. You admire the many rainbows as you feel the spray and thunder of the masses of water cascading down into the gorge. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure. If you wish, you can book one of the many activities on offer with your guide.

Day 12Victoria Falls to Botswana Chobe National Park
Transfer by road to Chobe National Park around 12 noon, 100 km west of Victoria Falls, home to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. Accommodation is the Chobe Safari Lodge in Moorish style. Afternoon game drive.

Day 13Botswana Chobe National Park
Our day 2: Early morning game drive in Chobe National Park. Tea and coffee are served before the game drive or during the game drive. After the game drive between 9:30 and 10:00 am you will receive your full breakfast. This is the best time to see the big cats. In the late afternoon you will go on a sunset cruise on the Chobe River in Chobe National Park. The trip starts at 3 pm. It is one of the best experiences to observe the wildlife from the boat and you get very close to the animals.

Day 14From Chobe to the airport
